My latest

This is really the first time I've ever worked with oranges. I think it turned out pretty good. It still needs a border, but that can wait.

:P

This is the longest day EVER!!! It's such a beautiful, warm spring day. I could be at home sewing. Here's a fun picture to show all of my great fans out there. I call it "Bad Archaeology". No, no one I know is responsible for this absurd photo. I got it off of a report.

Flowers

I started this when Mother was visiting in December, but I finally finished the last two flowers and the backing today. Sooo pretty. :) And look Jackie, it's not ALL purple, green, blue, and purple. There's some pink and yellow there too. Anybody have any ideas on how I should quilt this?

The Viking Spam sketch, cats, the Hawaii Chair......I love you Youtube!

You must check this out. It is absolutely hilarious. Believe it or not, it's an actual product on the market.

The second is a fabulous cat cartoon. There are actually two sketches, so be sure to check out the other one.

Ok, only Jackie asked for it. Here's to you, Jackie! Thanks for reading my blog!

This is a closeup of some of the images I used.

Maple Leaf

Mother sewed this up I don't know how many years ago, and after having it for almost two years I finally quilted it. Yay! Then, after having it sitting in the closet for two months, relatively cat hair free, I finally took a picture. Yay!!

Now it's personal.

My parents have lived on the same busy, high-speed, two-lane highway for almost 30 years now. Every winter when the snow plow drives by he manages to knock over our mail boxes. We've tried moving them away from the road, but then the postman gets snippy. So every year, we just put the boxes back up near the road and hope the plow misses it for at least the rest of the season. A couple of years ago somebody (not us) installed a heavy duty unit that would supposedly protect our boxes. I'm beginning to think that these yearly tippings aren't accidents.

Kalimantan

This is one of two quilts that I started when Mother was here last week. It still needs a border, but I'm totally thrilled with my completely naturally ability to match the seams.

Yup, I did this last weekend too, though I just finished the border last night. My camera does not do the colors justice.

Speaking of habits...

I managed to finish the front and back of this quilt over the Thanksgiving weekend.

Dani's Logs

Yes, please feel free to marvel at the extraordinary amount of time I have available. The real trick, though, is actually finishing them.

Out of Control

Well, today I donated my first gallon of plasma. It took several hours to go through it all (once that they determined that I was not a crack whore), but now I'm $25 richer. Yay money! I can do this a couple times a week, though it shouldn't take quite as long now that they have me on file. Not that it matters, since I apparently have so much free time, as you can see by this new picture. Oh, I have so many more. It just takes a long time to download them (cursed dial-up!). By the way, the title is the name of the quilt and not a reference to me, however much it may apply.

Ripples

Another top I've added to my collection, though this was finished last year.

Stupid pictures didn't download the first time.
